The Masters of Software Engineering is an English-taught program
delivered jointly by Tallinn University of Technology and University of
Tartu (double degree). The program is intended for future software
engineering professionals who wish to acquire skills across a broad
range of aspects of software construction - not only how to write
software, but also how to manage software engineering teams, how to set
up quality management processes, how to make business cases for software
projects, and how to document large-scale software systems. Detailed
information about the Masters program can be found at:
Applications for admission to the Masters of Software Engineering are
due on 16 April and can be submitted via SAIS - https://www.sais.ee/
Although the Masters of software engineering is delivered by two
universities, a convenient system is in place that makes it possible to
complete the Masters program almost entirely in Tallinn or almost
entirely in Tartu. In case of taking the program in Tallinn, travel to
Tartu is only required once a week and only during the first semester.
The reciprocal applies for students residing in Tartu.
Admission to this program is based on past academic performance (grades
in the Bachelors) and motivation. Applications should include a
motivation letter to be typed, uploaded or copy-pasted into SAIS.
Students who are planning to complete their Bachelors degree in June
2015 can and should apply already now. A pre-requisite for admission is
that you should have scored at least 66 points in the English state
examination at the end of your secondary school, or as an alternative
you can pass University of Tartu's or Tallinn University's English
examination - more details about the English language requirement are
available at http://www.ut.ee/en/english-language-requirements
The top-ranked applicants will be offered an "IT academy" scholarship of
EUR 300 per month.
